Hi

I am trying to link to some tables using an ODBC link, but you need a
password to access the tables. The account i have set up to allow acces to
the tables is read only so i don't mind who uses it. The problem i have is
that everytime i try to access the tables it asks me for a username and
password but i don't want them to have to put it in, i just want it to be
stored but can't seem to get it to do this.

I am using access 2000 and simply just want to link to the tables without
the need for the user name and password but i don't want to take them off.

Thanks in advance for any help

Cheers

Danny

When you link to your tables the first time, there should be a checkbox
(down in the right hand corner I think) labeled Save Password. If you
check that box when you link to the tables, you shouldn't have to put
in the username and password each time.

Hope that helps!
