ODBC Drivers

Recently one of my workers tried to update MDAC to ver. 2.8 It was then
unable to connect then to our SQL Server so they tried to unistall it. Which
seemed to go fine, and then reran the MDAC 2.7. We can connect to the SQL
Server fine now but not all the ODBC Drivers are there anymore just the SQL
and Visual Foxpro drivers. And we need some of the others ones because of
some custom programs we use, use others ODBC drivers. Does anyone have any
idea how to get these back? Thank you

that may help in identifying the problem

I ran the component checker and it shows MDAC 2.7 SP1 which is what I ran
last, so that looks good but still the only drivers for ODBC that are
available are the sql, and visual foxpro. Does any have any idea how to get
the ones for access, excel.... back. Thank you

If you ran the checker, on yr version of MDAC - 2.7- were any errors shown?
In the resulting file section did it show the odbc drivers, typically
\odbc*.dll ?

Does the ODBC Data Source Administrator show anything helpfull in the
drivers tab?

No errors were shown when I ran the checker, and yes the drivers were shown
after the checker was run.

If the checker shows the drivers, and they are also seen in the ODBC Data
Source Administrator - you didn't mention that -
Then the drivers are on yr sys.
Do you have to set up yr other apps to use these ODBC drivers, they may
require a 'reset'
Have they been registered in the registry correctly I wonder?
