On XP professional PC my ODBC driver for MS Access (and
others)is version 4.00.6019.00 dated 19 Aug 2001

But on a PC with 2000 professional they are version
4.00.6200.00 dated 20 June 2003

Why are they older on the XP PC - as I regularly get all
the updates?

I once tried a one month trial version of Office 2002 and
then removed it - could this have screwed things up?

You can research the history of these DLL files, including find out what
version is delivered with what product, at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=/servicedesks/fileversion/dllinfo.asp&fp=1
