ocr / icr code needed

I am in need of a ocr / icr code to be attached with my existing code..
The required code would be in either java or in .net

Where? To do what? Java is usually used on web pages. OCR is used
with scanners.
 
Ya,
I have an web application developed in Java.
Now my requirement is I need to have Automatic Data Capturing sort of
utility in the same.
So either I would have to do this in Java itself, if possible or in
..net, which I need to connect to Java application in some way..

Automatic Data Capture means, I need to have utility where in user will
scan the document (which would have a standard scanner (kofax, twain
etc) and the also the data should be extracted in intelligent way from
the scanner generated image to be inserted in some database.

Please let me know if you are still not clear with my problem...
