Occasional lag behind typing - REDUX

Hey People,

I'm relying on you for a solution. Have I missed any posts on this?
Below is my original request:

Can anyone suggest why, in Word or Outlook Express, the screen will
occasionally lag way behind my typing? Is there a Service or other
program that might be interfering? TIA.
 
Open XP's "Help and Support" and type: TEXT SERVICES , and hit enter.
Then click on "Turn text services off or on". You need to turn-off text services.

That was bloody fast. Thanx mucho. I'll try it and come back at ya
if it still gives me problems.

Well, I turned off unnecessary text services, but it still
occasionally gets behind me. Any other possibilities?
