* i have never loaded any roxio products on my computer
can someone help

Did you ever install Adaptec software, such as EZ CD Creator? Roxio was the
software division of Adaptec.

Y.

You may have loaded some drivers for your cd burner. Roxio
aka Adaptec is a common program included with many cd
burners. Did you upgrade to xp from another os? If so,
that program may have been installed with your original os.

I would go to the adaptec/roxio website and try to find
out what that program is for and what upgrade you need.
Look like from the name of the file it is the driver for a
cdr running under windows 2000 professional.

Hope this helps

Those are from an old Easy CD Creator - you may have had it from Adaptec
before they spun off the CD Burning side as Roxio. There are residual
references in the registry . To tidy up, get a registry patch file,
cdgone.reg, from www.aumha.org/downloads/cdgone.zip, extract it, r-click
on it and merge it into the registry

You will then need to reinstall any burning software that you *do* use.
