Object renaming in AD using vbscript

Hi,

Is there a (simple) script available for changing object names in AD? The
idea would be to run the script due to some organizational changes and it
would rename the whole object in AD into a new objectname (including some
other changes). Can this be done by simple rename or does it require
creating new object with copied information?

Sorry for the newbie question. I'm just beginning to investigate the
possibilities here.
