Object Reference not Set

Hi All:

I have a problem when trying to create a data adapter using the wizard. Before I can get started the message box appears saying "Object reference not set". I do not have an opportunity of setting a data connection. I have reinstalled VS.net 2003 and still have the same problem. Help!

I reinstalled the dot net framework. It did not work. I reinstalled everything (prerequistes included) 3 times and I might add that it is a 3 hour install for each time that I reinstalled everything. It still does not work.

It is happens under a new project with nothing on the form. I click the data adapter and the wizard appears. I click next and then the object reference not set message appears.

Do I need to do anything special to get the wizard to work?
