Object Linking and Embedding error

When trying to open up Microsoft Excel 2000 I receive an
error of "Object Linking and Embedding". A reboot fixes it
temporarily. I tried re-installing MS Office 2000 fully
over again and still did not resolve the problem. I
installed sp1, 2, and 3 and the oreg* patch and still did
not work. I also have wordpefect 2000 installed on my PC
adn don't know if this might be causing the problem. I am
running Windows 2000 professional with the current service
pack.
 
Were you hit by the MSBlast worm?

One poster (Lutz Meyer) guessed that this was the cause of his problems. I
haven't seen any confirmation/denial, but you may want to read his post:

Post back with your results. I'm curious if that was the problem. (It's come
up quite a few times since MSBlast hit.)
