We have a mixed exchange/imap environment. On a couple of the computers
any email sent arriving in the exchange account end up in the imap
inbox. On others this doesn't happen. I've checked the config, it seems
correct. Any ideas?

This simply cannot happen unless 1) you're referencing the Exchange mailbox
via an IMAP account or 2) you have a rule that is moving the incoming
messages to the IMAP server. Exchange and IMAP accounts always have
separate data stores.

The imap account is using the exchange smtp to send out, could that
cause this? I'll remove the imap from O and readd it when i'm there
next.

I doubt it. Sending and receiving use different protocols and data paths.

Only if the problem is replies to the imap mail winds up in the exchange
mailbox. This would happen if the from address is changed to the exchange
SMTP address during the send process and the person replies.

The only way mail in the Exchange mailbox would wind up in IMAP is if rules
moved it.

Problem solved. :P

We have a mixed environment because we are taking over this office and
until they move they need to get mail from two sources. As people move
offsite we're having their exchange email forwarded to their imap
accounts (diff server and email addy). Several weeks ago one of the
managers gave the exchange admin a list of names and he set forwarding
on some names that we didn't need forwarding on. :)
