Installed Outlook 2003 last night and found out in a hurry it's a lot
different than OE. It's not a program for home users!! If I can't get a
few things working like I want....it will be deleted in a hurry!

When I recieve an email with a photo(s) attached, I want to see the photo
below the text.....just like I do in OE. I don't want to click on an icon
each time to do that!

I haven't found a way to automatically add a senders email address in my
address book when sending a reply. That feature is an option in OE and I
have used it for years. Why would MS leave it out??

Roln

Indeed.
OE is the program you want. By design, these are not features in Outlook.
Outlook and OE are completely different programs for different target users.
Not sure why you made the switch.

Thanks for the quick reply, Russ.

I got Office 2003 and Outlook was included.

I know a few people using Outlook and they seem to like it for their work.
Outlook is a nice program, but it's more than I need. OE does everything I
want
and is easy to use. I send a lot of photos to family and friends, and OE
does that
nicely.

Roln, in order to see images in the email, you'll need to
go to Tools, Options, Security, then hit "Change
Automatic Download Settings". Once you're there, make
sure that you uncheck the box that says "Don't download
pictures and other content..."

That should do it for that.

About your other prob, not sure. Sorry!

SE

No, that will have absolutely no effect on pictures sent with the mail.
That setting applies to HTML mail where the pictures are on the Internet
waiting to be invoked on the local machine.

No version of Outlook has ever displayed pictures inline as in OE unless the
SENDER embeds them or inserts In-line using HTML or RTF format.
