NVIDIA Driver Update

I installed a driver update from NVIDIA and it included (apparently) a new
application called nView, which now appears in Add/Remove Programs.
Since I have no use for this application (a Desktop organizer), I wonder if
it's safe to uninstall it.
I don't want to disturb the current driver setup for my video card.
Thanks for any advice.

It _probably_ is, but consider simply disabling it first, if it's running.
Open the applet in Control Panel and see if that option appears.

If not, click START|RUN...and type "msconfig" into the box (no quotes).
<enter> Click the Start Up tab. If the utility appears in the list,
UNcheck it.

I already disabled it from the icon in the notification area. It does not
appear in the Start Up tab of Msconfig.

To prevent the nview desktop manager from starting up go to
Control Panel, Display, Settings,Advanced
Click on your video card tab (ie GeForce XXXXX) which opens another window
In the small window click on Desktop Management
Uncheck "Enable nView Desktop Manager"
