I reciently got a new computer with XP and all the other
basic hardware installed; including this NVDIA that I
have gathered has something to do with the monitor.
Anyway, I have been having problems downloading shockwave
and other java type applications from the internet.
Mainly to play games, but I have also had some problems
with websites that have animated menu bars. Basically,
the page won't load, I get annoyed and use ctrl alt
delete to end the program (yes it does come up as not
resonding). Everything seems fine after that untill I
try to go to another website like that or download a game
to play online (that won't load either). Nothing about
NVDIA comes up until I get really annoyed and restart the
computer at which point it comes up as not responding.
I'm trying to put two and two together and am assuming
this is the problem, but am basically lost. I did change
the monitor settings to the resolution it suggested for
this monitor (it was on a lower setting) and a few other
things like brightness and contrast. Any ideas?

I would perfer you emailed me; thanks for any information,

Yes, it does have something to do with the monitor. It's the name of the
manufacturer of the video card, to which the monitor is attached.

It sounds like you may not have appropriate drivers installed. Try getting
updated drivers from the manufacturer:
