NvCpl.dll error

or ... Death of an XP PC - Day 4

All, My PC has gotten all ambitious, and is complaining
about the abovenamed dll on bootup (sometimes locking,
sometimes not).
In order to avoid eye-strain, the monitor will now only
run 800x600 in 4-bit colours. Tried updating the driver
for the monitor (which works fine on another PC).

At least now, WIndows Messenger is not complaining about
the .net framework - what consolation!

Anyone any advice on whether this PC is beyond help? Might
I just have a duff graphics card?

All in all, it has been an interesing week.

That relates to the drivers for an nvidia video card. Get latest XP
drivers at
http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp
and install them
