HI.

I have an XP Professional in one computer. I have a shared folder called
"updates" so everybody can access to this folder, but the limit is 2 computer
at the same time. What do I need to do to resolve this problem so everybody
can access?????

Thanks

Look on the sharing tab of the updates folder properties you will see what
you are looking for.

Might this be the problem?

Remote users may receive an "Access Denied" message on a share that they
had connected to successfully before. This behaviour occurs after the
hard disk is converted to NTFS. This behaviour occurs on Windows
XP-based computers that have Simple File Sharing turned on that were
upgraded from Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, or Windows
Millennium Edition. This behaviour occurs because the default
permissions of a hard disk that is converted to NTFS do not contain the
Everyone group. The Everyone group is required for remote users who are
using the Guest account to access the files To reset the permissions,
unshare and reshare the affected folders.

How to configure file sharing in Windows XP

Maximum of 10 connections unless:
Windows Server 2003

Hope this helps.

Where are you getting that the limit is two computers at a time? The
inbound concurrent connection limit (not *computers*; one computer can
make more than one connection) is 10 on XP Pro. Maybe if you give more
details about your network, your computers, and the error - including
the exact text of any error messages - you can get more specific help.
In the meantime, here are the inbound connections limitations:

http://support.microsoft.com/?id=314882

concurrent connections:

10 for XP Pro/Tablet/MCE
5 for XP Home
49 for SBS 2000
74 for SBS 2003
Unlimited for full Server O/Ses
