Is there a way in a master worksheet to put a formula in a cell which
contains a number such as 15846 and have that number increase by one
in the same cell when you make a copy of the original worksheet.

Not as you ask it........but if you would describe your end desire in a
little more detail, perhaps someone can suggest another method....

Stored the code given in the above link into a new blank workbook and
saved it as a template. When I open a new workbook it shows as
Workbook1, Workbook2 etc. This is good but not quite what I was
thinking of.
In the example where B2 is where I want a number, say 1234, to be in
the master sheet with all the formulas. Then when you make a copy of
the sheet within the same workbook the number in b2 would increase by
1 each time the master is copied.
Can this be done?
