Custom format:

General__
That's with 2 underscores, to leave a double space between the last digit
and the right grid line.

I really meant to say, a space the size of an underscore.
The width of the character following the underscore determines the actual
width of the space.

Hi,
Numbers in cells are right justify and very near to the edge of the cell.
Is it possible to have more space.
i.e. more distance between the edge of the cell and the digit near it.

PS. In word you can do this while working in tables. I couldn't find
something similar in Excel.
