I am running Windows XP (Version 2002, SP1) on a T4511
eMachine. I have 5 administrator and 1 limited user
accounts set up. Upon starting up the computer, the Num
Lock key is turned on automatically by the BIOS.

Problem: When logging onto 2 certain administrator
accounts, the Num Lock status remains "ON" as it should.
The problem is with the other 4 accounts. When you log
onto them, the Num Lock is turned "OFF". It remains that
way even when you "Switch Users". If you "Log Off" from
these 4 accounts, the Num Lock is reset to "ON". Note:
you can manually set the Num Lock to the "ON" status in
these accounts.

Can anyone give me some insight as to how to fix this
problem? Thanks!!!

In XP Num Lock is off by default but its status is preserved at logout,
make sure Num Lock is on for each user before you logout and it should
stay that way, unless of course someone toggles it off prior to logout
again.
