One TID Q271518 acknoweledges this error but you must call Microsoft.
Microsoft wants to charge me and then IF they deem it the same
documented issue then they will credit my account.

Does anyone know the actual fix? I think it is concerning a userenv.dll
file.

The actual fix is just what the article says. The hotfix applied to all Windows NT clients a roaming user uses.

Now hotfixes never have cost anything. Any support you may need after applying the hotfix can cost money but not usually. The way you get these hotfixes is you call Microsoft's 1-800 numbers here (Usse the IT Professional one):

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;OfferProPhone

and then when Microsoft answers you say, "I'm calling for a hotfix." EZ as Pie. They will ask you for the Hotfix number and to that you reply Q271518.

I am having the same problem, contacted MS and downloaded the fix. Unable to
install the userenv.dll because of sharing violation. Does anyone know how to
install this .dll??
