I have 180M of these directories on my C: disk. I just dumped them to a CD and
now I want to delete them.
My thinking is that they would only get used if I ever wanted to Unistall a
FIX, they
are NOT used for running or 'normal' backup.
Any problems with this?
Thanks,
John

Correct. No problem with doing that.

How about the 30 uninstall references I have in AR as well.
I don't care to see that so cluttered up like that with so many.
Logically I suppose since the $NtUninstallKxxxxxxx folders would be gone
then there's no reason why I can't clear all the KB entries out of AR as well
then.

You can delete the keys for them from;
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

else;
Control Panel|Add/ Remove|"program" you'll be prompted something to the
effect "can't be found" and given the option to remove the entry.
