ntldr is missing

I just installed a new DVD-RW drive. Upon restarting the computer, I got an NTLDR is missing, press any key to restart message. Upon pressing any key, the message just reappeared. On the advice of a support person, I reinstalled Windows XP. It did not fix the problem. I have also copied the NTLDR and ntdetect.com files from the CD onto the c: drive. Any advice?
 
There isnt a floppy disk in the Floppy Drive? Using the WinXP CD you can
delete and create a new partition and format.
