I have tried using the copy e:\i386.. fix, but it says access is denied. I
don't remember what admin password is alothough I am the admin on this
computer. I don't ever remeber if I created a password. Is there a way around
this so I can get this repaired? Thank you.

I had the same problem but with windows 2000.
Tried the following successfully:

Restart computer with a 95 or 98 Start up disk with Sys.com

Type sys C:

Restart

Fixed my problem with 'NTLDR missing'

Hope it helps you.

Good luck

Dan

I am running XP and don't have a 95 or 98 start up disk and not sure what the
Sys.com is. Explanation? Thanks.

Hi K.S.

If I remember right 'sys.com' is a system file that can be installed on a
formatted disk to make it bootable. However, try one of the following links
which may cast some light on your particular problem:

You can also google for a 95/98 startup disk.
There are some downloads at this link: http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm
