NTDR IS missing

after loading SP1 on my PC the PC will not boot and I get
a message saying NTDR is missing, press any key to re-
start.

What can I do to make my PC boot again?

Take a look at thei MS kb article on the subject. It is
for Windows 2000 but should work ok on WinXP:
