I need to copy all configurations and software contents
of win2k server from one scsi/raid 5 machine to another
scsi/raid 5 machine. The hardware configuration on the
source machine is different than that of the target
machine.


I am going to list the steps I am planning to take. I
would appreciate if someone could tell me if I am on the
right track or issues that may arise, etc...

1. Use ntbackup to backup entire source coputer
2. On target machine, install win2k server and create
partitions based on source.
3. Restore on the target computer the backup taken from
the source.

Am I missing stuff?

Does my plan change if my source server running sql
server, antivirus software?

As David suggested, you're heading for a disaster. Porting a
Windows 2000 (Server or Professional) do different hardware
rarely works and is definitely not recommended for a server.
