| Hi All,
|
| Last night I updated two XP Pro's, four w2k-p,
| and eight NT4W workstations to KB835732 (Sasser).
|
| This morning, all the w2k and Xp workstations
| are working fine, but all of the NT workstations
| are having the same problem.
|
| symptoms:
| event log: DHCP "dlcp-law" is not a valid domain name
|
| Clicking on "network neighborhood" gives "unable to browse
| the network
|
| "ipconfig /release & /renew" works fine.
|
| I can ping anything.
|
| My file server's Samba logs show no entries whatsoever
| for any of the NT workstations (these logs note
| EVERYTHING, which means that the NT workstations
| have made no contact with Samba)
|
| Does anyone know what is going on?
|
| Many thanks,
