Congratulations! You are the one zillionth person to be infected with the
Blaster.exe worm or one of its variants. Run your anti-virus after updating
the virus definitions. Ctrl + Alt + Del to bring up the running processes.
If you see anything like MSBlast.exe, choose to End Process. This will stop
the shutdowns so you can download updates to your anti-virus software. Just
do a Google search for Blaster Worm and you'll find endless information to
help.

If you are always connected to the internet, disconnect the cable from the port in the back of your machine and only plug it in when you need to, for instance updating virus definitions or downloading a patch from microsoft. The blaster runs off of the internet and it will not shut down your computer without being connected to the internet. Trust me I have manually rid two machines of the Blaster virus, one of them my own.
