Hello
First, let me preface by saying that I'm not an expert, and am not looking
for easy answers. I'm also very much a believer in "teach-a-man-to-fish"
philosophy, and believe that the steps that it takes to learn something
often teach more than do the actual finding of answers.
Having said that...the Visual Basic Editor in MS Access is a bit of a
mystery to me, and if anyone has any recommendations of where I might be
able to find an online primer, please send me the link.
Specifically: I have a table set up that has people's names, addresses, and
all kinds of other stuff. What I want to do is write code instructing the
Zip Code field to pull an established zip code once it reads the name of the
town (am dealing with approx. 10 towns). In addition, I want a dialog box
to appear, after the zip code is written to the record, saying, "Please
verify that the zip code is correct", with an "OK" button, that the user may
press once they've verified that the zip code is correct.
Any takers?
Any hints, recommendations, links, red herrings, potshots, insults,
assistance, death threats, "your mama" jokes, would be appreciated.
Please pardon my ex-stream of conciousness meanderings. Had minor surgery
on Monday, and am drooling from the mouth and from the injury area from
codeine and melting icepack, respectively.
Thank you.
