noton found a virus that it connot delete

the virus was found in C:\windows\system and
C\windows\system32 the name of it is trojan.adclicker
and is found in a file called dos64.exe i deleted the
file in windows\system, but cannot delete it in
windows\system32. The computer is telling me that i do
not have access to this file. I bought Norton so this
would not happen. i loaded it on my computer before i
even plugged my new compputer into the internet. The fist
thing i did when i got online is updated Norton. Norton
finds the virus and cannot do anything with it. i don't
think i should have to pay Noton to fix soomething tht
should not have happened with their software to begin
with. I would appreciate any help that anyone can give
me. Thank you.

You might try holding the F8 key during boot-up & going into Safe Mode. Once
there, locate the offending file in Windows\System32 and manually delete it
at the DOS emulation prompt. Then Shutdown/Reboot. Your problem file should
be gone then. Good luck!
