I have Verizon DSL Internet service and use Microsoft
Outlook for email. Currently I need to open Outlook and
then click on "Send/Receive" see if any email is awaiting
my pickup.

Is there any way to configure Outlook to have a pop up
screen appear when there is email waiting for me -- like
a reminder dialog box that pops up -- so I do not have to
manually keep checking if there is email awaiting?

Thanks.

Have you set an automatic polling interval in Outlook? If yes, it will
check when you open it and at the interval it specifies. It does not have
the ability to tell you if there is no mail, only if there is mail.
