Notification of messages

Well, is there a way to have outlook 2000 notify me when someone has posted
a reply to a thread that I started in a newsgroup. I'm using the newsreader
for outlook 2000, outlook express; outlook 2000 runs outlook express with
the switch, "C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /outnews to read
the news.

Well, with many discussion forums that I participate in, for instance, nokia
developer forums, I get an email whenever someone responds to my post. I was
hoping that outlook can be configured to do the same thing.

Nope, that would depend on the forum you are in. When you configure it to
automatically update some newsgroup and mark your own conversations as
"Watch Conversation" than the newsgroup will turn red when you got a reply.
