Upgraded OfficeXP to Office2003. My Outlook notification
area icon is still the old gold/white icon instead of the
orange/white. Any idea how to update this icon to the
2003 version?
thanks

That is the correct notification area icon for OL 2003

So the icon used with OL2000/2002 is being used with OL2003 in the system
tray? I just want to be clear on that. I have OL2003 installed on Windows
2000 Pro & I see the same thing. I was prompted to look for similar issues
when another technician mentioned it. I found 2 other questions (no answers
though) searching the Internet. If need be I have a screen shot I can provide

Yep, this is true for Windows 2000 machines. Windows XP machines do have the
new Outlook 2003 icon in the Notification Area. This is because Windows 2000
shows less detailed icons comapred to Windows XP.
