Nothing is working!! HELP!!

aite i came across a problem...i turned on my pc today everything was
working fine than i clicked start and than control panel, my start
menu and icons disappeared for a second...and my wall paper changed to
desktop recovery active?? or something of that nature...and it says
click to restore...if i click on any of the icons or try to open any
programs it does this...yes i have Scanned everything with AVG
Pro...couple of spyware programs..this is a new harrdrive i bought
like 2 weeks ago what can be the problem???oh ya i also don’t have any
service packs installed im downloadin Service pack 2 right now if
thats cause of the problem....

hardware AMD 64 +3800 2.4GHZ
Geforce 7600 GT 256mb
512 kingston hyperx ram
Nforce 4 mobo

Keep in mind, that English may not be his/her first language. The OP may have more luck if he/she
posts in a group that is for his/her native language. If English is the first language, the answer
most likely would not be understood anyway.

Your Active Desktop has crashed on you. The _link_ you click is under
the text, not an icon.

Here's the archived Google Groups site. If you type your problem in
your language, you should have plenty of articles; it's quite a common
occurrence.
