Hi - When outlook checks for email it appears to go through all the motions
and little scrolling envelopes appear in the bottom right of the task bar
suggesting something is coming through. However, nothing appears in the
inbox, or anywhere else. I have checked all options and setting for all 3 of
the email accounts I have and can't find a problem.

I have just installed Norton Firewall 2005. It's "event" log suggest email
is being received but does not manifest itself anywhere in outlook. I have
reviewed all Norton settings but can find nothing odd.

I use pop3 email with Outlook Xp on winXP with all relevant SP's

I have also checked ISP and no probs and I can get all my email in
Thunderbird at home. It's as though email gets as far as outlook and then
gets lost. I have even tried the repair option on XP office set up.

Ideas anyone?

Cheers

Andrew

Check your server setttings, your View filters, your Rules and your Junk Mail
settings. And make sure your other email program is leaving copies on the
server so it's there for Outlook.

When I dwitch off Norton Antivirus all seems fine. But why did it not happen
when I installed NAV?

Mary - thanks for the reply. All was fine with what you suggested.

Regards

Andrew
