Notes and Journel entries

I am trying to learn how to use Outlook for contact management. I have
entered some notes and journel entries and saved them. I then go to the
customer contact record and the notes/journel entries seem to be gone.

How can I find them?

Is there some kind of manual, online, or otherwise that will help me learn
how to use Outlook?

Did you enter a contact on the individual note or journal entry? If not, the
contact won't know that they're supposed to be connected.
