Is there anyway I can delete all the spaces in a document without going thru
it one space at a time?

Edit menu > Replace.

Search for " " (without the quotes) and replace with nothing. You can
replace all in one sweep if you like.

May I suggest you consider obtaining a proper text editor, ie. with more
features than Notepad? It sounds to me like you would benefit. There are
many to choose from, some of the really good ones can even be downloaded and
used for free.

Edit | Replace. In the "Find what:" field, press the space bar once.
In the "Replace with:" field, don't type anything. Click Replace all.

1. Open the document
2. Edit -> Select All (Ctl-A)
3. Edit -> Replace (Ctl-H).
4. Put a space in the "Find What" (top) text box
5. Leave the "Replace With" (bottom) text box empty.
6. Click the "Replace All" button.
