Notepad, need help

Today when i tried to use notepad.......it was just gone. I don't know what happened to it, but now i can't open any Read Me files. I really want to reinstall it, but i can't get a place to get notepad from. Please can anybody tell me where I can get Notepad????????

Go to Start > Run > and type
notepad
If the program appears then you have to reassociate txt files with it
in Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder options > program types.

If not, go to Start > Run > cmd
and type
sfc /scannow

This will repair and replace damaged system files, it will ask for the
XP CD.
