I currently have about 11 emails that I have not received because of error
0x800CCC19. What is this & how do I fix the problem? I also received
0x800CCC0F. It says to wait 60 seconds, but when I do nothing happens.

In the future, please include the complete error message by
right-clicking on the error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.

That type of error is usually caused by interference from a non-
compatible antivirus program. Which antivirus are you running?
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus must be turned off,
although that may not be sufficient to eliminate all bad effects.
In a worst case scenario, your antivirus may need to be uninstalled.

If turning off your antivirus email scanning function does not resolve
your problem, consider upgrading to Windows Live Mail, because it
is less prone to suffering bad effects from overly intrusive antivirus
programs: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview

Email scanning in any antivirus must be disabled, for reasons
explained here:

Sorry about not giving you the error message. Here it is

110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC19

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'POP3', Server:
'mail.insightbb.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket
Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

My guess would be that the server is having problems.

I use CA Anti-Virus myself, with its 'Email Protection' option disabled.
Not sure why your connection to the mail server is timing out.
Do you have any other third party security software, like Spybot?

What you might try: delete that account, restart Windows Mail, then recreate
that account. Sometimes accounts get corrupted for no obvious reason.

I do not have a third party security software. Norton is on my computer but
is not activated.Windows has some security on it but the one I use is CA, & I
turned off the Email protection.
I have tried to load Windows Live but it will not load. I have a new machine
so I have plenty of space for it.
I can get email from my servers site, but not from Windows mail.
To get my windows updates, I have to turn off the CA firewall. Why.
Please give me some advice as to what to do about some of these problems.
I also deleted the account & restarted WM as you suggested. Everything
worked until about a week ago.

I do not use the firewall module of CA Internet Security, since I consider
the Windows Firewall to be good enough and a lot more compatible.
Having to turn off your firewall in order to do Windows Updates is not
a good sign of compatibility.

Norton, even when not activated can cause problems. I suggest you
uninstall it and follow up by using their debris removal tool:

I don't know why Windows Live Mail won't install for you. Perhaps one of the
WLM experts in the WLM newsgroup has a solution:
