Hello

I've installed following components

IIS FTP server
IIS Common libraries
IIS Core libraries
IIS Web server
IIS Internet manager

but I can't find the IIS managing module in MMC and when I run the
inetmgr.exe or mmc iis.msc I'll got the error message that it wasn't
possible to initialize snap-in module and the error message contains
CLSID:A841B6C2-7577-11D0-BB1F-00A0C922E79C.

Any ideas ?

thanks

Petr

Petr,

Do you have the following components in your image?

"SMTP Server" (or, better, "SMTP Server - Hotfix Q313450")
"Group Policy Core Administration MMC Snap-In"
"FrontPage Server Extensions"

If not, include them and see if it helps.

KM

Thanks,

I've added SMTP Serve with the hotfix and already have the Group Policy
component .. and will try it.

I wasn't able to find the FrontPage Server Extensions component .. how
is it possible ?

I have SP2.

The SMTP Server component didn't help,
I'm curios why I'm not able to find the Front Page Extensions .. I've
also lowered the minimum visibility setting in TD to 100.

Ok I've solved it.

FBA didn't have enough virtual memory to register the IIS management
component. So I've enabled the pagefile and now it's registered and works.

Now I will have to switch the pagefile off, because I will be using the
image on the CF. I hope I will figure it out.

Thanks

Petr

Petr,

Thanks for the info.

Good lesson for me. We should always ask to check FBALog first :-)

I am sorry, I forgot to mention that the FrontPage Server Extensions component has Visibility level 50. So you would need to hack
the MinVisibility level to lower it down to 0 through the registry.
However, you don't need this anymore.
