Hi there.
I have an problem on one PC we have here. It has a Belkin wireless PCI
card and has always talked quite happily to the wireless router
(3Com). Suddenly, last week it stopped. On doing an IPCONFIG it seems
that the connection is getting a spurious IP address with no gateway.
After checking the network security and that the key was in correctly,
it still persisted. We then decided that as the PC was close to the
router, we could hard wire it so plugged in a cable (the only one
connected as everything else is wireless). I sort of assumed that the
wired connection would solve the problem but we get the same problem
opn that connection as well.
We can't get a ping from the router either. At one point, the wireless
did get an IP address but it didn't last long enough to try anything -
Ipconfig reported it on a single occasion and the router had it as a
DHCP client..
We would be grateful for any pointers that anyone can give us.
