Not finding new hardware

I am trying to install a new video card into the system.
I replaced the board and installed the drivers. I'm
prompted to restart my computer and when I do, I'm
supposed to get a "Found New Hardware" prompt and I
don't. I tried this several times and one time I got the
found new hardware, but when trying to connect it with
the appropriate driver it gave an error that it did not
have information on the driver. Also the driver is
supposed to be found in add/remove hardware but sometimes
shows up there and sometimes does not. I've never seen a
problem like this, hopefully there's something I can do.

Question have you disabled the onboard video card yet
and do you have the latest drivers for your video card
