I have a 450 MB MS Dos zip file and when I try to open
it, I get error message of "Not Enough Memory." I have
used properties in this file and changed the memory size
and tried to open it with Windows 98 and 2000
compatability modes. without success. I am currently
using Windows XP. Please advise how I can open this file?

What kind of MS DOS zip file you talking about? Why does it differ in
relationship to a regular zip file.

A 450 meg zip file may take a gig of pagefile space to open. Or, if
there are thousands
of small files within the zippack and you have 32K clusters [fat32] you
may even need 2 or 3 gig of free space or even more to open it up. Think
about it. Lets say that the
zippack contains thousands of 200 byte files then each one would take a
32K block on
a fat32 hard drive or 4k on a NTFS drive.
