not enough disk space to restore system

i want to be able to delete, or get more disk space so i can restore my
system to a certain date. i have tried a few times, but it has taken hours.
then told me there was not enough disk space.

Clean some junk files, it may give you just enough space ...

Clean Temporary Internet Files, Cookies and other temporary files:

Aslo, if using Hibernation, disable it to recover more:

1. In Control Panel, double-click Performance and Maintenance, and then
click Power Options.
2. On the Hibernate tab, clear the Enable hibernate check box.
3. Click Apply.
