Not asking to save

In Excel 2003, if I close a workbook (file> close) I do not get the Save
dialogue box appearing therefore the changes are not saved. It was working
but just stopped! On another PC it closes correctly, any ideas?
 
The problem just "went away" so I never figured it out.
