Hi

When I click on the right hand scroll bar to move a page down or up
at a time, it goes more than a page (about a page and a half) I now
have to scroll down a line at a time. It never used to do this and
it doesn't do it when I press the page down button (then it does a
single page at a time). Can anyone help/advise?

TIA

this solution is too easy:
use the keyboard keys
Nice answer - are you always so helpful or have I been singled out
for special treatment???

not "singled out"...just me French dry humour....
my standard answer is :::::
-----------------------------------------
Position cursor 'close' to the top/bottom of the
slider bar and it should scroll one window.
Use the mouse wheel to scroll.....as applicable
See mouse properties (Wheel tab) to adjust
Press/Hold/Slide actual slider-bar
Up/Down Arrows (Single line!!!)
Left/Right Arrows (<---Very Slooow--->)
Pageup/Pagedown (Too obvious???)
Home/End (Top line/Bottom line -- wow)
R-click scroll area.....menu....select option
------------------------------

Angela,
I hope you can get a straight answer to your question. I
too have the same problem and it drives me nuts. I
noticed it just in the last few days as if it came with
an out6 update. I also am running XP but not on a laptop.
Sure you can avoid the problem but it is a problem and
maybe if someone from Microsoft monitors this ug we can
get an answer.

I found out it is a "feature" added in a patch. If you
click right next to the bar it goes a full page .I liked
it when it went just under a page so I could reference
the distance ..

Hello Jack

I am pretty confident it is to do with the updates, I only did all
the Microsoft updates the other day and it started doing it
immediately after that. I think I'll email Microsoft and see what
they say. I'll keep you posted!
