Windows comes with a Help System, which parts in it don't you follow in it
(- 'network and the web', networking, getting started seems a good place to
start) ? And most network kits also come with instructions.
Can you give some detail of what you have, and what you want to do- the term
network covers quite a range of possibilities.
You don't. WinXP is a client/workstation operating system. A NOS is
an entirely separate operating system and would require it's on
server-class machine (unless you want to dual-boot for testing purposes).
