NortonAntiVirus crashes pc when scan in progress

I still have the problem with trying to run Norton
AntiVirus. About 5 or so minutes in, the computer just
shuts down. Any ideas? I've tried the Norton site and so
far, haven't found anything. Still looking...

I hope you dont have a H/P pavilion.I had trouble with

my Norton,did the same thing after I added more ram.I
upgraded to 512MB of RAM.H/P and Norton couldn't help,but
when I reduced the RAM to 256 MB or 384 MB and it fixed
my problem with Norton.H/P and Norton told me that had
nothing to do with it but,it works now,although when I
reinstall 512MB of RAM same thing.Good luck.

I have an H/P pavilion with 1 gig of ram and norton works
just fine!
