Norton/performance

Is it normal when my norton scans my computer every
friday for my computer to run very slowly. When I am
logged onto the internet, and have a window open in the
task bar below. When I click on it to open the window,
it takes about 5 seconds or so with a blank screen coming
first? I have plenty of memory and processing power.
512 mb/ 120 gb/ 2.67 ghz

I have the same problem, and I'm starting a chat with a
support person about it. Keep you posted!
 
Why not just set up Norton to scan at some time when you
are not using the computer?
