Can anyone help me? Briefly, here is my problem: I tried
installing Norton Antivirus onto my Windows XP Pro
machine. Right after I installed it many things stopped
working, so I uninstalled ALL Norton devices. However,
that did not fix any of the problems, so I reinstalled
windows, that too did not fix anything. This is what is
happening: When I am in Internet Explorer (or any program
with a scroll bar) the page scrolls very slowly.
Secondly, my computer will not shut down or go into
hibernation or sleep mode! The only way that I can turn
it off is by holding the power switch. When I try to shut
down I can briefly see this Blue error hexadecimal
screen, but I cannot see it long enough to see what the
error is. Right after the blue screen my computer
restarts.

Can someone please help me with this problem? thanks a
lot.

First thing I would try is to use the system restore
utility. It can be found at \your windows
directory\system32\restore\rstrui.exe or through the
windows help by searching for System Restore Wizard. You
may be able to restore to a point before NAV was installed.
