NORTON AV/NORTON IS '04

I bought NIS/NAV '04(downloaded it) but it never worked right, first when security was on I couldn't get on the internet, then I removed it and tried to reinstall it as Norton supp. told me to. Problem is now that I'm trying to reisntall it, windows xp home edition won't let me, right at the end of installation I get the following message:" set up, this MSI must be launched through setup" first I have no idea what the heck MSI is. I called Norton who told me to go to MSN, then they told me to, blah blah blah, you know the story. CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE?

This is an issue with NAV, not Windows.

I don't think most people can understand the difference.
