I have Norton AntiVirus 2004 installed on my computer.
It keeps saying I need to update the virus definitions.
I have tried several times to do this but it says it
failed to load.

I had a similar problem late last month when I tried to update through
LiveUpdate. Try going to Symantec's site and downloading the
standalone virus definition updates and running the program locally to
install them. That worked for me and since then LiveUpdate has worked
as well. HTH
